Què és la Xarxa de Comuns de guifi·net?

The guifi·net commons network is an infrastructure ( radio link and fiber optics ) de telecomunicacionsque téwith multiple owners and participants:

  • Operator companies that offer Internet access service to the user and/or invest in network deployment.

  • Users who connect to the network and/or make donations to drive deployment projects throughout the territory.

  • Public administrations that also invest in deployments.

  • Neighborhood associations that promote projects to bring Internet to their areas.

  • Volunteers who also help drive the guifi·net project.

Aquesta xarxa mancomunadais used as a good commoni que, en el cas de la fibra òptica, es tradueix en què per un mateix cablejat hi poden passar els diferents operadors, signants del conveni amb guifi·net, i que ofereixen el servei d'accés a Internet a l'usuari final.

Els principis de la Xarxa de Comuns de guifi·net

  • Open:perquè s'ofereix universalment a la participació de tothom sense exclusions ni discriminacions.

  • Free:perquè tothom hi pot fer el que vol i gaudir-ne dels continguts que hi circulen.

  • Neutral:perquè assegura la no-intromissió de les organitzacions governamentals de la xarxa en els continguts que hi circulen ni en les tecnologies que s'hi utilitzen.

Sustainable network. Compartir una mateixa infraestructura suposa un abaratimentdels costos ambientals ja que no hi ha un º malbaratament de recursos.


Collective management.La xarxa no és un actiu privat sinó que és de totes aquelles persones que hi participen d'alguna manera i és oberta a tothom que hi vulgui participar. És gestionada per tots els participants.



Offer of an alternative service. L'usuari ha de poder escollir entre diferents serveis professionals i, per tant, entre diferents ofertes operators. Promoting competitive prices and facilitating citizen benefits from tax deductions and cost reduction of services.

Technological sovereignty.Cal que la ciutadania, com a usuària de les telecomunicacions, tingui a disposició tota la informació over their rights and how they can influence the sector.


We eliminate the digital divide.La nostra voluntat és fer arribar Internet arreu del territori perquè no volem ciutadans de primera i ciutadans de segona. Tothom ha de tenir les mateixes oportunitats.
