A telecommunications infrastructure in a well-known format
We facilitate access to the Internet through the construction and management of a cooperative fiber optic network thanks to the different actors that have promoted, financed, or use it and connect to it. In this way, we enable people who want to be users to be on equal terms.
We defend the human right of access to the Internet as a basic tool for social action and inclusion; therefore, our network always promotes the social, solidarity, and collaborative economy.
The principles of the network
Open
Anyone can access and connect without discrimination.
Free
Those who connect can engage in economic, social, cultural activity, contribute content, or simply exchange it.
Neutral
We ensure non-interference by any public or private entity in the content that circulates and in the technology used.
Questions about the cooperative network
The necessary investment to carry out the project is obtained through many agents, including the citizens themselves, the Guifi·net Foundation, the Ollo City Council, the Olza City Council, and the operators that offer services.
By making a contribution, you help grow the project and ensure that the network is shared with all participants.
In addition, this contribution allows you to enjoy a monthly reduction, and for life, in your monthly fee.
Com a usuari de Ollo-Olza tens opció d'eliminar el concepte de "quota de línia" del teu rebut mensualby making a contribution of 1,200€. Fent aquesta aportació:

Example in case of making a contribution: if your monthly bill is 45€, you would only have to pay 28€ for Internet access service, as the infrastructure would already be covered
You decide. In the cooperative network of Ollo - Olza, we inform and give the option for the user to have the possibility of permanently eliminating the cost of the "line fee", which is 17€ per month, that is, 204€ each year.
If you make the contribution of 1,200€, after 4.4 years you will have already recovered the amount.
If you don't, you will always pay these 17€ as with other telecommunications companies.
It is not mandatory to make a contribution as long as other resources can be found or a significant amount of donations from the rest of the participants that allow the projects to be covered. But it is important to know that in this way, you also help to extend the network to the rest of the neighbors in the area, thus making the Internet accessible to everyone and eliminating the digital divide.
You have two ways to make the payment:

Or you have the option to do it through the SEPA mandate. We will send you the document that authorizes the direct debit in paper.
You have the possibility to make the contribution in:

A single payment (1,200€).

Split into two payments (600*2)

Split into three payments (400*3).
In case of being split, the payments must be made in the following months after the first payment. You can make half of the payment before installation and the other half once connected.
