We facilitate access to the Internet through the construction and management of a shared fiber optic network thanks to the different actors who have promoted, financed, or use and connect to it. In this way, we enable people who want to be users to be on equal terms.

We defend the human right to access the Internet as a basic tool for social action and inclusion; therefore, our network always promotes the social, solidarity, and collaborative economy, and develops the information and communication society by eliminating the digital gap between rural and urban areas.

Anyone can access and connect to it without discrimination.

Those who connect can engage in economic, social, cultural activities, contribute content, or simply exchange it.

We ensure non-interference of any public or private entity in the content that circulates and in the technology used.

Questions about the shared network

  • The necessary investment to carry out the project is obtained through many agents, including the citizens themselves, the involved Town Councils, and the Guifi·net Foundation.

  • Making a donation helps the project grow and ensures that the network is shared with all participants.

  • In addition, this contribution allows you to enjoy a monthly reduction, for life, in your monthly fee.

You decide. In the shared network of Segovia, we inform and give the user the option to permanently eliminate the cost of the "line fee", which is 17€ per month, that is 204€ per year.

If you make a donation of 1,500€, you will have recouped the amount in 3.8 years.

If you don't, you will always pay these 17€ as with other telecommunications companies.

No és obligatori fer donació sempre que s'aconsegueixin trobar altres recursos o un gruix de donacions de la resta de participants que permetin cobrir el projectes. Però és important saber que d'aquesta manera, també ajudes a estendre la xarxa a la resta de veïns de la zona, fent així, accessible Internet a tothom i eliminant la bretxa digital.

You have two ways to make the payment:

  • You have the possibility to make the donation in a single payment (1,500€).

  • Or split it into two (750*2) or up to three payments (500*3).

In case of being split, the payments must be made in the months following the first payment. You can make half of the payment before the installation and the other half once connected.
